Got this back in early December & then sold it to a friend.

Bought it for 290 keys pure:

Sold for ~$1155, buyer paid in installments:

$1,155/$1.75 per key = 660 keys
Polar & I chatted, he + other mods decided the range is fine due to the sales occurring around the same time + it's not likely to sell again soon.
Thanks to bob's suggestion for spurring this on: http://backpack.tf/suggestion/588fcd87e33877294c6fd893
Is 1.75$ per key fine to use? I had thought keys were typically sold for 1.8-1.9 now, but I could be mistaken.
Edit: Thx ^^
I used the price this suggestion had (and passed with) two weeks ago: http://backpack.tf/suggestion/588fcd87e33877294c6fd893
That link is this one, but I assume it was meant to be the current event?
Edit: I see then, good show then :^)
Wow thats a huge range.
yeah, see what I wrote already though for the justification
The range is far too large, one of the sales has to be an outlier.
Mods already approved, I bought and sold it on the same day as well.
If you quicksold for virtually pure, wouldn't that suggest 290 being high?290 took almost a year, nvm
yeah, the guy who sold it to me for 290 was "quickselling" for like 5 or so months. He had declined 500 pure collecting offers in the past too lol
one of these is an outlier
He has posted a justification, so I suppose it's fine.
All that profit tho...
Who would pay that much for this .-. .... that range horrifies me. Upboat doe.
Yeah, this is generally a tricky case. When Polar first mentioned the sales I was inclined to advice to leave it unpriced, but I guess an exception can be made here:
1) both sales were in pure
2) both sales happened around the same time
3) there are clear indications that either flat end would give a questionable value
4) it is unlikely to sell again
As a note for people that are going to refer to this suggestion when proposing huge ranges: please be aware that this is a highly exceptional situation that fits this particular cases.
Unrelatedly I want to express my jealousy; Ive been eyeballing this when Eonwe was selling it, but didnt have enough in items he'd have been interested in to offer on it :P
Thanks for the clarification on specifications of such an unusual case - and good luck on future endeavors ^^
Will strange unusual wep suggestions get accepted though ?
read the description; I link to Bobsplosion's similar suggestion that got accepted recently
thats cool did not know his got accepted
Well, we're accepting these as is for now, but the change won't be reflected in the backpack of the owner. Cares said to accept them anyways. At some point if he allows for suggestions on these kinds of items, then we can easily migrate the suggestions over with a merge feature that is available to us. If that never happens, then no harm, no foul. The price will remain in a limbo state and never functionally be used.
Thanks for clarifying, polar said he'd leave a comment but he had to go out before I posted this haha. Also sorry about nabbing it first ;3
Yeah, highly unusual situation here. A few other things not mentioned. The b/o of 400 was up for 5 months, which means we cannot call 290 an outlier. However, the person who ended up buying did offer 500 before that, and it was rejected. A lot of factors into consideration here, and it was my opinion that 290-650 would be the best range.
