Pretty fair to my mind, and I can enjoy the golden versions until the rotarion hits :D

I already crafted normal sylv and rag tho.

Hm, nope. ^^ I had a hard time understanding it fully at first, but there was good explanation on hearthpwn. If you craft a golden, you'll get 3200 back per legendary once the year of the mammoth starts, and then desenchanting them will grant you 1600 dust per card, so 3200 of pure profit.

If you craft the normal ones, you'll get back 1600 per card, and desenchanting them will grant you 400*2 = 800 of profit. Basically, if you didn't have ragnaros or sylvanas at all, the best to do was craft the golden ones, as you would get 2400 extra dust.

In my case, where I had them both already, crafting the golden ones comes to the exact same as not doing anything. But I did it for science. :D

Won't they become uncraftable when year of the mammoth hits?

Just like any Wild card, you'll still be able to craft / desenchant them. There in a special "Hall of Fame" category, but they're basically just Wild cards.

well, you crafted the normal ones, right? So, that's too late, because the dust refund is only given for the golden card if you have both the normal and golden version. :/
