You can still use them to get the coin yes, but you wont get any contracts or anything like you would during the campaign event.

It's merely a collector's item or bought by people who want the coin.

The Gun Mettle Campaign Pass is an item which allows participation in the Gun Mettle Campaign. Upon the purchase of this item players can activate it after which they receive Gravel Gun Mettle Campaign Coin.

Having such a coin will allow the player to receive weekly contracts during the event. Completing each contract will reward with one of the campaign-exclusive weapons or a Weapon Case.
