Holy shit what's with all the strange unusual suggestions congrats on the purchase damn nice! :D

The shotty deff needs a mini. Otherwise this is good.

The shotgun is not the issue here. The casemaker is

Holy crap, yep I missed the current suggestion. The shotty is the least of it...

Let's see here. According to what you're saying, we should drop the unusuals prices that are "overpriced", meaning all of the high tiers would plunge and you'd crash the high tier trading market. Great. So you're using the fact that everytime a high tier unusual quicksells, whether it be within the prescribed time limit of 1 month or not, you'll drop it to the quicksell price UNLESS it's offered much higher than the price it quicksold for, in cases of most rare god tiers. Tell me this, if we see this scenario everytime, you'd gladly just use the same reason to drop prices on all of the other ones that quicksell I assume? Everyone knows high tiers rarely, if ever, sell for full pure value. Now using a full pure quicksale, regardless of those restrictions mentioned above, would almost always bring a 40-50% drop in most high-god tiers since they wouldn't quicksell for full pure unless around that amount, varying depending on what specific unusual it is. Most of the high tiers don't go by the same way low-mid tiers do. Very flawed technique to "represent an item's real value". Pimpy himself explained it pretty well in the casemaker suggestion. Was bringing up this issue long while ago, but I just let it go because I thought it'd change. But it never seems to. Can downvote this as much as you wish, but it's the bitter truth.

That is a lot of poorly supported assumptions right there.

Need I remind you that I was the very one that opposed the casemaker suggestion. It may have been accepted if it was not for my interference. Calling me out on "wanting to destroy the market" is not only incredibly uncalled for, but also outright inaccurate. If you want my statement even further supported: The sunbeams cone is also high at current, but acceptable given the circumstances. On the last two suggestions, which I both handled, I have agreed to keep their updates conservative, whereas the actual pure value is likely lower. I would go into detail, but that serves no purpose here.

As a side note, I only just noticed the case was not closed yet, which I told happy to do before, based on the cone sale.

              Here's the situation:

The cone sale supports that the casemaker would be low at 500. The cone sale however does NOT tell us that 945 is accurate on the casemaker, which I definitely do not believe. The mere reason that 500 is not acceptable is the fact that it is no better representation than current, but that does not say that current isn't high. Those are two different things.

The situation as it is now prices the cone based on a completely unsupported value, as the casemaker is not in-date. It should not come to you as a surprise that outdated hats cannot be used without a proper mini. You cannot toss the only recent sale by calling it low and then use the outdated price on such a significant piece of the trade.

The cone sale should be used to price the casemaker in my opinion. As said before, while the cone sale may support that the last cone update may have been too conservative, I am not opposed to using it to give the casemaker a conservative drop as well, rather than taking 500 here. The strange =/= nonstrange argument will not work in this situation. IF we would be to value the cone at its last sale, it'd be worth ~200, if not less, and we dont want to price the casemaker at or below 0. This is due to the fact that the strange cone was sharked. With no usable sales and no indication that the strange cone should be worth significantly more than the nonstrange one, it makes sense to value them similarly, especially since it is mainly to disprove that 500 is low for the casemaker.

The reason why I closed that was because of the case. This is the same issue.
