I think what you mean to say is real world value wins over pretend, inflated unusual values again. Paying over someone's pure b/o is overpay by definition and is a trade of convenience. If you really valued those hats at 97 pure, you would have sold them for 97 pure and taken 70 pure to pay for this hat. But because you didn't want to spend the time to do that, out of convenience, you overpaid. Value is still 70 pure.
