Suggesting range from 60-70
http://backpack.tf/suggestion/590785d6e338773a06765715 your BO was 59 though :P
It only was 59 until the suggestion was made. Then I changed it to 70. Ask the buyer. It has been 70 ever since that old suggestion got accepted. Once I saw in that suggestion that it has a value of 70 I my b/o accordingly.
Why did you change it to 70 when the suggestion was made?
That's a good question, Teeny. Thanks for asking. I changed the b/o because the suggestion showed that the hat can sell for 70 keys. It was capped at 59 due to my b/o at that time. Therefore, I changed my b/o accordingly and have since then valued the hat at that price. So has my buyer who bought it from me.
But the sale in the suggestion was your purchase so you already knew what it sold for and didn't value it above 59 keys. It wasn't new information.
At the time of the purchase the Black Watch, which was included in the deal, had a different price. Since it dropped in price I forgot that I had to value the Honcho higher and the suggestion showed that. So it was new information at that time.
But you accepted the trade on the assumption that it was a ~60 key trade. That is what you valued it at and tried to sell it for in pure.
No I didn't. What makes you think that? Even with the new price of the Black Watch the trade is more than 60. Anyways, my b/o was 70 keys for a while and only a few days 59 until that suggestion was made. From that moment until the day of sale it was 70 keys. Hope that answers all your questions.
So you valued the trade at 70 yet for some reason decided to lose money for no reason by selling it 11 keys cheaper? You literally just said that the trade being valued at 70 was new information when the suggestion was made.
No I didn't lose money And no I said the honcho was valued 70; not the trade. The trade was 90 if you look at the suggestion. 20 for the Black Watch and 70 for the honcho.
Yes, you did, as is evident by your buyout after the trade. Hell, you even came to me to ask if you should take some 55 key hat for it and was inclined to do it had it not been for that suggestion. it was not until I brought up the suggestion, based on your purchase, that you changed your BO (and I honestly wouldnt be surprised if it was just to stop the suggestion cap :P). You yourself said that 70 would be way too high for the honchos :P you're countering your own earlier words ;p
I didn't take 1 hat for it. I received 2 unusuals for the hat. I appears that this is a misunderstanding even though I pointed that out before. It was not a 1:1 trade
The buyout was 70 keys at time of sale. I didn't take the 55 key hat though which shows that I valued the Honcho higher in the end
There is no misunderstanding; the sale is clear. What I mean is that around the time the suggestion was made, you came to me asking whether or not you should make some trade. In that conversation it was very apparent that you did not expect bp price out of the honcho, much less 70
Yes; I cant to you asking if I should sell it for that 55 key hat but in the end didn't. Hat's aren't priced on offers.
I won't argue about this further. If you want me to close the suggestion I will. I pointed out that my B/O was 70 for the most time that I had the hat and it was 70 at time of sale. If it doesn't matter to you guys that it was 70 then I can't change that. I tried to explain myself.
I am aware they are not.
My problem here is that this is the second time in a short time youve had a "convenient" buyout raise that removes or increases a cap. In both cases you said "yea I though my BO was low so I increased it", which makes no sense really. Im pointing out that in this case, you very much did not think your BO was low (otherwise you would not have considered non-pure offers below your BO). On the last suggestion you even literally said you were going to raise your buyout to 70 to avoid the cap, even though you are aware the wrap is not worth 90 and that thus the sale was not 70 to begin with.
We're just putting together the pieces of info we have here. It's not that nothing matters or that we don't know the full sale, or dont understand the situation; on the contrary even. We just see things that dont add up, such as the fact that you're surprised to see a sale at 70 even though it was your own sale. The watch thing couldnt have been a surprise for you either since you yourself were the one that dropped that right after you sold it: http://backpack.tf/suggestion/5904d15f0e2cad18353e6724
The only logical explanation here is that it was clear to everyone (yourself included) that the wrap wasnt 90 and therefore the honcho not 70, supported by your own words, your own initial buyout, your own suggestion on the wrap even.
The buyout cap in suggestions is there with a reason. Changing your price to elude such caps is not what it was implemented for
