Ask but also don't take any claims from that trader at face value. If he can't prove it, don't resuggest.

Comparing effects can indicate when a price is low. And if even the seller is referring to it as a shark, the price is probably invalid.

That's why i'm leaving it up and will resuggest if it resells.

Well, mods are well within their rights to close this, but we'll see. The "leaving it up in case it resells" approach is for valid suggestions with one sale - this sale is almost certainly invalid.
