Thanks.

nice overpay? b/o was 2000, yet was willing to take golden pan ~1125 keys for it. http://imgur.com/9eRicvW

Thanks Vitto on the warm wishes.

Mr Red Dot... someone sounds salty - "nice use" of Steam Achievement Manager btw. You do realize using it is against the T&C of Valve and Steam?

i think you are the salty one here, you want to update the price of your unusual yet talking about groundless claims. you wanted feedback, i gave it to you http://imgur.com/9eRicvW

You speak about groundless claims yet you proceed to say "he probably offered his view to other pan sellers". Talk about groundless claims, yet you have no basis of this.

he offered me twice for sure (declined instantly), scratch my thoughts then

So you are upset about how u didn't take his offer? And cleary he was trying to overpay you for your pan im sure if someone offered him 1 he would ask for adds as stated in his listing :)

Not even close, got so many better offers on it. Buy a pan see the diffrence. Did the suggestor call all his friends here? LOL

I am friends with the suggestor but thats not influencing what im saying. I just wanted to know what you're trying to say to because talking about a trade that didn't happen wont effect the pricing as far as i'm aware but idk I could be wrong as i'm still learning about price suggestions.

Same. I dont even vote, but its obv that higher b/o does not mean anything. He was seeking a pan and ive declined his offer twice yet his bo was 2000. Mods will decide

Well as someone who used to own a pan, I know first hand the general prices they fetch. Unusual only offers tend to be fairly rare (most sellers want pure or a mixed). But generally tend to be 1600+ these days.

I think the fact you declined the offer of a pan isn't surprising on this basis. I think his offer to you for the pan for a 1:1 offer was a speculative and unrealistic offer at best. As you said, you declined instantly. I think to suggest that a b/o of 1125 keys on this basis would be equally unrealistic. Ultimately Stuff's offer to you was a complete shot in the dark, an ambitious attempt to prize you away from a pan. This didn't work. It didn't work with you, and to your credit at least any pan owner with a brain would have rejected that offer instantly as well.

What you have here is a price suggestion on an actual sale that did occur, vs. a speculative, if not cheeky attempt to get a pan from you for way below market price. In general your negativity here on this suggestion isn't winning anyone over, and isn't really being taken seriously as a result.

TL/DR. Bottom line, you can't blame Stuff for trying to get a pan with a item like this - BUT IT WAS ULTIMATELY A SPECULATIVE SHOT IN THE DARK. But for anyone who has a pan (and a brain) as you have said yourself would have rejected the offer instantly. Pans call for way higher unusual overpay. Clearly you surpassed his expectations, you (rightly) rejected his offer twice. Fundamentally, I would not consider his attempt to "low ball" you out of a pan a realistic basis for a pricing suggestion in the context of an actual sale that actually happened.

You and your friends here who are trying to "help" you are the ones blaming me providing proofs, insulting ex pan owners for their decisions, groundless claims that are not related with pricing your view. I do not judge/blame stuff or anyone who offers on my pan. Anyway what i'm trying to say is, his B/O was 2000 which is ridiculously high yet he offered me twice for my pan http://imgur.com/9eRicvW which is 1125 keys according to bp.tf. Finally he sold it 1640 in unusuals, not even close to 2000.

Your initial comment "nice overpay?" is a little insulting. So I would suggest you reflect on what you say first.

I didn't insult ex pan owners. You can discount to elements like sentimental value in a deal in which you acquire your dream hat for it. However for the sake of this suggestion you are clearly referencing to Cakemuncher how much you think the pan is worth from a trading perspective in terms of value. As you said yourself "buy a pan, see the difference". So by your instant rejection of the offer that was presented to you, you know it was insufficient for the value of a pan. Something that we both agree on.

Yeah 2000 is a high b/o. But in the context of there being three secret all class miscs - and his being the only one on the market. Well he is entitled to set the buy out at whatever he wants.

You continue to contradict yourself. You say the buy out should be a pan, yet you say you rejected it because it's insufficient value. People get lowballed all the time, especially with pans -when people present unusual offers that are simply not worth considering. Doesn't mean you form a basis of a price suggestion on it.

I love how he specifically writes "private offer", but you throw it out here anyway... That's bad etiquette from your side man

he probably offered his view to other pan sellers, since he sold it its safe to reveal his offer. he wanted it to keep private because there was an open price suggestion. as you can see he offered twice, first one was a private, 2nd one was not

          Awesome purchase man :D congratulations!!

I don't understand the hate towards the pan owner here, he did offer it on my pan as well, which is a clear indication that he would have taken ~1125 keys in pure, those making 1640 keys seem high, especially with another sale around the 1300 key range from last suggestion: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5949a7cbcf6c755675491a25#comment-59556fc9cf6c755b311d52fd (scorching war pig + ge crones for viewfinder + ~400 keys in unusuals, slightly bulky but supports ~1300 keys).

This will be left up for a month at least to see if any other sales happen, but I tend to agree that 1640 seems like a high outlier given all the other data we have.

There is no hate implied. But we all are smart enough to know that if the offer of a pan was accepted it would easily be flippable into 1600+ in unusuals which was the intention of the offer.

As such I feel that whilst there is an element of overpay for the item, it isn't really comparable to an offer on the pan at face value. Again, the concept of a few "low ball" offers on a select number of pans is really highly speculative from the sellers part.

Here we have a sale that physically happened vs. Hypothetical sales that never would have. Mr Red Dot makes a claim that the b/o should be 1125 as this is the value of the pan. Then immediately states that unusual overpay on pans require an offer far in excess of both the 1125 initially suggested and the 1325 when it was repriced.

Slightly critical of Red Dot as common sense isn't really being applied from his perspective. He knows, like me and like you the real value of the pan from an unusual offer perspective.

Suggestions measure the pure value of an item, so if the View was offered on the Pan which commonly sells for, and is priced at, roughly 1100 Keys, then that sale's (were it to happen) pure value would be roughly 1100 as well, regardless of if the Pan was then flipped for 1600+ in Unusuals.

uh. according to bp.tf pro ks g.pans worth nothing :)

You would have seen that he rejected my offer, citing it was too low. This retains support that an offer of a pan would be considered unfeasible and outside the consideration for the price suggestion.

you are (also) willing to accept 1125 keys pure/g.pan for it yet it is rejected (4th time at least), also your current b/o is 1200 keys. how that is not usable here someone explain me. http://imgur.com/1J7ucUq

Nice purchase upvote I also had unusual offers higher than this from couple people . Cheers !

This is a price suggestion, not a soapbox. The back-and-forth insults end now.

1640 looks excruciatingly high here when I can recall st least 3 previous owners that offered/would've taken a Golden Pan on it.

As the evidence indicates, the high end looks too high, especially considering the new owner was willing to take a pan and lowered his b/o now to 1325 keys ( http://i.imgur.com/QdQSuZs.png ), current price is fine.
