Why do both the Rifleman and the Key's histories match the Peak then?

The mining light is not sold in that same compare. It is labeled as "changed", not as removed. It was still in his backpack the day after.
The keys do not match in history because they were bought for cash prior to the sale. They match in IDs, hence they are displayed as "obtained together" in that compare.
The second link you posted is a compare spread over multiple days. He sold the mining light somewhere between the 26th and the 29th, whereas the other exchange with the peak took place between the 25th and the 26th.
The reason it was changed is because the mining was listed and then removed again from Marketplace, which is also where it sold on July 28th

It's funny seeing the seller at 250 for a few days now. If I were to buy it, it would get used to price it since people use the marketplace graph to price with no consideration of quicksells, but if one of the top kiddies here bought it it would be a quicksell and not valid for pricing.
Probably why it hasn't sold yet.
It's down to $450 now. Very telling. That's 65% off with no sale. Why not? Because if the sale happens on marketplace, it's on the graph forever and anyone can see it.
