Thing needs an update. I've been sitting on my buy order at 30 keys for a couple months now, very few nibbles. Lowest 2 offers prior this one were both at 45, in pure keys. No active sellers on bp.tf or outpost, nothing on the community market.
Seller wanted 37-40 keys buyout. I traded a pro ks aussie scatter (~30 keys) with 10 keys worth of scout themed parts (Point-blank, scouts killed, dominations, I believe), along with a factory new woodland warrior(~1.5 key), and a strange professional killstreak vaccinator with allied healing done (TS/FH). Scatter approx 35, Woodland approx 1.5, Vaccinator approx 3.5 =~40.
I dont know how fine the resolution of inventory history can get, but just in case its better than a day to day, the trade went down a little wonky. I wanted my strange #'s, so i traded scatter for collectors vacc, then gifted the woodland and the strange vacc after I used my strange transfer tool.
Past sold on market for this year, with Pro KS and Strange. I do not have access to non-ks and non-strange data. Considering the $$ value of these items, it is unlikely anyone spending this amount would be oblivious to the intricacies associated with steam market pricing when dealing with items in short supply and varying degrees of difference. Pro kits are cheap as are the strangifiers. Perhaps adjust 2-4 keys due to that.
August 15, ~170USD
August 11, ~53USD
June 24, ~104USD
June 12, ~115USD
March 13, ~30USD
January 26, ~127USD
January 8, ~136USD
Averaged sales are at 105$, at a 2.5:1 conversion is 42 - 50 keys. Value of keys in SCM determined by 2.5 (buy price) and 2.1 (sell price). Although the sub-100$ sales are obviously quick sales done by a seller looking at highest buy order, I've included them in the average.
35 to 42 seems a fair adjustment based on my current (10/10/17) buy, and past market sales.
If anyone has steam market data for non-strange and non-ks, or for the varying tiers of ks strange or not, I reckon that'd be helpful in nailing down the current "price" of this.
all of that data is way too old
August of this year is too old? 7 sales only, this year.
By that logic, it can never be priced, as evidence will never accrue.
Ignoring everything but the most recent is not a great way to adjust pricing. You cant snag a single outlier and work off that, as that'll entirely skew the value of an item - which is something bp.tf was created to avoid, no?
Using only the most recent (SCM) data would bring the proposed range up.
increasing value of an item based on buy orders doesn't seem like a good idea (Dunno if u can either) as it will be much easier to price manipulate this system, instead wait for the buy order @30.44 to be fulfilled and then make a suggestion for the same.
Whose increasing based on buy orders? Maybe re/read the entire suggestion.
My buy order at 30 never got fulfilled. Instead someone added me to sell it for ~40. Im pricing based on my purchase/his sale, with steam market values to better gauge its worth.
85% Sure you don't count Weapon Parts, so your Aussie would be 31 key, the woodland warrior has sellers at about 1.2 keys on the SCM and the Vaccinator has a unsold at 2, Basically adding up to about 34 keys in total
I'd argue your pricing based on the value of keys when exchanged with SCM funds(sell vs buy), however itll need a re-suggest if parts are entirely uncounted.
In the scatter sale, the scatter should not be valued higher than a generic prof ks aussie scatter. They're often available for the same value on the classifieds. That sale would be 31+1+3 = ~35. Aside from that, I don't see any proof of that sale, so that should be provided as well.
As for the SCM sales; I would consider extending to august based on the date of suggesting, but june is almost half a year ago; that is too much of a stretch here and I think those shouldnt be used; let alone the march or earlier ones. With the august sales, I see a huge discrepancy, meaning it would not be wise to use that the way it is done here.
With what I see here - barring potential new sales - I would use the scatter + stuff sale to reprice this to 35, given that proof of the sale is provided.

Scatter and stuff still in my backpack:

Vacc in his backpack:

Scatter in his backpack, along with pro vacc, and the woodland:

My reasoning behind valuing parts is due to his buyout. His buyout in pure has no bearing on the price suggestion then?
Thanks! For future reference, you can display those in one link by using the compare function below the filter menu, for easy access.

You can resuggest at 35 flat; list the content of the sale and use the link as evidence. That should work here.
