A suggestion can be left open, for up to one month. There is always a reason for it, be it waiting for other sales to determine an outlier or in case of a suggestion with 1 sale, to see if any another sale(s) happens or something else. 24 hours is not at all much of a wait. Not sure what practical reason voting has, if any, but suggestions get accepted/declined depending on if theire done right or not. If a suggestion is inaccurate/wrong, it will get declined. Not exactly sure, what your suggestion was on, but in your case, most likely, you shouldve kept on waiting. No need to close the suggestion, unless its obviously wrong, people tell you to resuggest/close at some other range or so, if they have proof of why or a Mod tells you to close/resuggest, i guess with also proof (Mods kinda are proof, most of the times anyway, as they are the most accurate xd).
