http://manicbot.me/keyprice.txt - Keys were ~$1.95 at the time.

1200 / 1.95 = 615.38, which rounds to 615 Keys

Guns had this promoted at 550 on the classies for almost a year. :/

When you deduct the fees off the sale, it's actually way closer to 550 keys (which was basically his B/O too), I'm guessing he put the hat for sale 10% above his backpack.tf B/O due to the marketplace.tf fees

yeah makes sense. Imo this should definitely be 550.

Is there any way I can prove that?

      Important information for Marketplace.tf

Marketplace.tf allows users to buy and sell TF2 items for real-world money. However, Marketplace.tf imposes fees that sellers are likely to adjust item prices for, which results in slight inflation. Because of this, Marketplace.tf proof may only be used as supportive proof — it can not be used to constitute a new price on its own.

whats the point of having that disclaimer ?

To show that marketplace sales can be used as primary evidence in cases with rare unusuals/unusuals with no other sales.

The guide it quotes from is mainly meant for regular cosmetic suggestions where it is assumed that an item has many sales. In such cases, MP sales will typically be slightly higher as the seller will want compensation for the fees. For rare, especially high tier unusuals, this evidently doesn't work that way
