This taunt was sold for $80 via Marketplace.tf. Keys are selling for $1.90 on Marketplace.tf currently and were when taunt was sold (which was on January 31 2018).

The user Hugh Mungus was brokering for the user Die Immobilienmaklerin (whose previous Steam name was “goodbye.”), but Hugh Mungus changed the phone number associated with his Steam account, causing him to have a 15-day trade hold for 7 days.

Because he was brokering for someone but couldn’t return the taunt immediately due to the trade hold, goodbye. let Hugh Mungus keep the taunt for $80.

The taunt was already in Hugh Mungus’ backpack, so he had to buy another item on Marketplace.tf to transfer the item. goodbye. did not want to use PayPal, which is understandable considering the risks that go with using PayPal rather than a website primarily or solely for Team Fortress 2 trading.

Hugh Mungus bought a Unique Whale Bone Charm with the craft number #91.

He told me that the item didn’t matter and that he’d have to pay $80 anyway, so I’m not deducting the value of the Whale Bone Charm. Its value is hard to calculate as there’s no specific value for a #91 Whale Bone Charm. Items with a low craft number aren’t independently priced, and I couldn’t find any Whale Bone Charm collectors or craft number #91 collectors out there who’d be willing to pay a large amount of keys for this specific Whale Bone Charm.
