Both sales are wrong here. Lots more involved in sale #1: https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198170859525#!/compare/1514851200/1514937600
You have to check both sides of the trade. The keys in the compare you showed may not match, but they are a clear clue that more may have been involved, and looking at the other side immediately confirms this anyway.
Your second sale was not on SCM, it's a transfer between alts. The compare you included shows the formerly non-tradable hat leaving the first inventory, but it was sold again from the second inventory within a day, so even if you couldn't have know what was going on there, you should still have known that it can't have been sold on SCM. If they bought it from SCM initially, which is possible since it was formerly non-tradable but can't be said for sure, that purchase wouldn't have occurred on the 2nd anyway, since it was in their inventory already in late December.
