Feel free to add proof to support or counter my new price.

    https://bot.tf/stats/item?def=30800&q=5&ef=Starstorm+Slumber&craft=1&aus=0&ks=0

bot.tf shows sales at 15-20 keys with 15 being an outlier and 16 being very close to buyers.

    Supports 17-20.

Given the amount of sales at 15 and 16, I would go with 15-20 here. Most quickbuyers are now below 15.

there's one buyer above 15. I think i'll have to redo this completely. The suggestion is a month old. Surely there's a lot more sales now.

Yeah, I saw that (that's why I said "most"). However, one buyer doesn't counter that many sales at 15.

Other sales will likely fall in range, but worth checking them all if you have time.

          https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198095236132#!/compare/1532131200/1532217600 ----- Here's another at 17 pure

those sales at 15 are bought by bots, so most likely quicksells and the rules state i'm not allowed to use quicksells for pricing.

Quicksales can be used when they represent a common trading point, just like 15 in this case. There are at least 7 sales at that.

              For more info:

"Exceptions when buy orders don't necessarily counter lower sales

Numbers Matter - if there is only 1 lonely buy order and 3 sales lower than that it probably doesn't counter. Also generic buy orders (any effect) are usually buying more than 1 copy of a hat.

Common Trading Point - if there is a huge number of sales at or around buyer prices then it might be included in the price range. Sellers being close to buy orders is also an indication for that.

Market Shifts - timing of buy orders and sales matter: If a sale took place before a buy order was created the seller obviously couldn't just "sell it to the buy order instead".

Counter Buy Orders - Buy orders created after a suggestion was made with the sole purpose of countering the suggestion will be structually ignored."

ok, will use them. Do i have to list and check every bot.tf quicksell like normal sales? Unlikely they're not full pure.

Try to find at least one sale at ~15 using compare links, and that should be enough to suggest 15-20. No need to provide compare links for every other bot.tf sale when they will fall in range.
