Yeah...the key prices have sky rocketed and we should probably fix the market or otherwise in a few years keys will be like 100 ref
Keys will always be 2.00 Euros, however ref changes in price since we can get unlimited refs for free by just playing the game, that's why keys constantly changes in ref value. And of course even if I also remember the good old days of when keys where 2.66 ref the prices have changed due to demand and quantity. You will need proof for the suggestion and it does not seem like you have any :/
Yeah i dont have proof but imagine this....you are a new player that just upgraded to premium and wants to start trading...you looked at some trading videos and wanted to buy some keys and went to bp.tf just to see that the keys that every one is trading with are 40 ref and the price is still going up so you start getting the "unlimited ref" and then when you have 50 ref you to buy a key and see that it costs 70 ref...you get 70 ref then the key is 90 ref so on and so forth....is it good that keys are going up in price? The "unlimited ref" is not enough because to get 1 ref you need to play for ~20 h straight
Just buy one from the store then, it should be impossible to buy keys just with metal from weapon drops, you can't get money for free.
Why is that a bad thing? There's no reason we should lower the price of keys at the moment. Sure, there's been huge inflation in the last couple of years, but that's not bad, it just means that people who stored their stuff in keys are happy, and you, presumably one of the people who inexplicably thought that you should keep your currency in ref, salty

I think if you had the slightest idea of how any free market worked; you wouldn't think that. People don't just collectively manipulate keys to gain profit... key prices are constantly fluctuating.

Do you want to buy keys for 50 ref? That is what could happen in a few months the prices are still going up and that is not good for the market
If you could buy keys for 50 ref it means you will be able to sell them for 50 ref too, so a lot of hats will be easier to buy for the same monetary value.

The only thing that is not good for is greedy kids that want to make money from just playing the game and not giving anything from themselves.
THEY are the problem with the TF2 economy and it's because of THEM keys are worth that much.

As I said earlier, keys aren't meant to be bought with metal from weapon drops. It's damaging the economy, so to balance it out the key price in metal is rising. Ref is free, and in an ideal scenario is not worth anything. Want a key? Buy one from store or from the market.

I've been trading for quite some time now, and if you want to make some serious profit you MUST have some input from yourself, otherwise you'd be competing with bots to make that one ref a week.
