I don't mean to beat a dead horse past recognition, but this isn't even changing the mean. How does this pass the 5% rule?
"We will be more lenient about widening the range vs narrowing the range. A change from 5.33-5.66 to 5-6 is more likely to be accepted than a change from 5-6 to 5.33-5.66."
As far as I know changing the mean isn't necessary and the 5% "rule" does not affect these types of suggestions where the range is made smaller.
"We will be more lenient about widening the range vs narrowing the range"
Yeah I used the wrong words. I meant that suggestions don't always need the 5% change. I would not do a suggestion from 7.44-7.77 to 7.55-7.66 but this change seems meaningful enough to me.
For what it's worth, Tiny has now amended that part of the rule.
What?
The non-usual rules now say:
We will allow suggestions that change the range without changing the mean ONLY if there is overwhelming support for the suggested range. This includes changes from 1.44-1.66 to 1.55 or 5.33-5.66 to 5-6.
Due to range change it'll probably be accepted.
Yeah, I'm not doubting this will be accepted. Just that there are a few contradictions that would be easily sorted out by just revoking the whole thing.
The thing is if we remove it we could get a change from 25 to 24,88 which is by all means pointless, believe me I hate the rule just as much as you, it's fucked me over a few times, but it works.
just like you tried to make a pointless change on key prices 8^)

5.22 and 6 are easy outliers
= 5.55-5.66
Let it banana

Please, there has to be a point at which someone on the mod team looks at the contradictions and comments in the thread. https://forums.backpack.tf/topic/67970-lets-discuss-the-minor-changes-rule/
