Buyout was 100 keys - http://prntscr.com/kl617e
225.5/1.90 = 118.68 keys (according to http://manicbot.me/keyprice/?at=2018-08-18)
Sale caps at 100
Criticism appreciated!
Q: If a hat with a pure buyout at 10 sells for 15, it can be priced at 15. Why is cash different?
What you're talking about is slightly different. Cash sales are capped at the buyout because that's how many Pure keys they wanted, this site is based on Keys rather than Cash. Besides the seller had the buyout at 100 for 2 Months which should be significant enough to forget suggesting at 119 for example.
But if someone didn’t look on backpackTF, and was willing to pay 119 for this in a heartbeat, as they did in this case, isn’t it worth 119?
Also, if this had sold for 119 keys, would it have been priced at 100 or 119?
It most likely wouldn't have sold for 19 Keys over the buyout, it didn't sell in a heartbeat either, took 2 Months. The buyout is higher on sites like Mp.tf to account for the 10% tax that's involved. We've had a few examples where someone has overpaid in pure and iirc we excluded the buyout.
If it did sell for 119 Keys at a buyout of 100 then mods would most likely ask for it to be called 100 because of the length of time it took to sell with a lower buyout.
Ah, alright. Thanks for the explanation :)
