I bought it for 600, originally listed for 725 from what I can remember, the other seller was Wayne (I think) who matched it. I don't intend on selling the hat, but it should be noted that the seller I bought it from was quickselling it as he/she seems to be moving games.

Should there have been no other indications whatsoever, then an argument could be made that it'd be too low (assuming it actually quicksold), however, the entire current market backs up that current is way too high. As you yourself point out, Wayne matched 725 at that time, and there has been an unsold at 1600$ (little over 800) for at least a month now (and very likely for 3 months already), as well as a SCM seller pointed out in the comment section that supports the severity of this drop.

As a whole, the current market indicates that the suggested value is much better than the outdated value it currently bears.
