Why force yourself to go for 5.5? 4.5 is a clearly obvious trading point. Why not 4.5-5.5?

Why is it countered if it's an overwhelmingly common trading point? Our job is to display commonly-traded values and if that so happens to be a buyer's price, then why not? This is most commonly seen in non-unusual item suggestions in which the low end for something is often what bot buyers are paying and have consistently bought at.
