I appreciate the effort, but with these new found values, you support that the open suggestion is fine. In such a case it is better to list the evidence on the open suggestion to validate that instead of countering with an unnecessary change in value :P

In such cases, where the suggested value of a suggestion of this kind is coincidentally the correct one, we tend to accept them based on the newly provided information.

As such, I will be accepting that suggestion. I'll give you some time to manually close, as to ensure you do not lose any suggestion accuracy or reputation points.

Don't see this as a reason to stop putting effort into fixing open suggestions; the help is very much appreciated. Bear in mind that it does not matter who submits the suggestion, as long as the final update is correct. I hope you understand my point of view when I make this decision; don't forget that not everyone knows how to suggest, and that for a trader that is not as familiar with the site as you are, putting in effort may take different forms. He may simply not know what to do next (and in this case it was not possible until recently).

If you've provided the suggester with the required information and they refuse to act upon the provided details (or if they ask you to), you're free to take over of course, and if the value you find is actually different, you're free to counter, of course. But in situations where the original suggestion did actually have the appropriate value, we will generally accept the original first.
