Not usable comparisons, but it does show the item changing inventories. And of course, here's the screenshot of the trade history: https://i.imgur.com/aJZrUE2.png

Not currently interested in reselling. Triple ghost on soldier complete.

Going with a range of 99-200.

I'm afraid you can't use this range, to wide... If I do remember right, your range can be not more than double low-end of the price. For example, maximum range can be 30-60, but can't be 30-75

This suggestion was just accepted recently with a nearly exact same range. https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5c79d6d5d3817222dd56e4f7 The circumstances of both trades are remarkably similar as well. Is one key off being more than double an issue?

In this situation 100-200 is still acceptable, because of high-end = low-end * 2. Your case is very-very close to this suggestion, I'm confused about 1 key difference here.

Where in the rules does it state that the high-end can't be more than 2x higher than the low-end? I see no mention of a cut-off at all.

Maybe you're right, checked rules again already, no paragraphs about it.

To anyone unsure about the range, same situation happened here:

      https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5c79d6d5d3817222dd56e4f7

There is no exact cutoff rule to what is acceptable and what is not in terms of wide ranges. The 50% factor mentioned in the comments is already way beyond what I would consider reasonable in almost any other case. Anything in this area that is usually considered is either:

        1) An unpriced hat that has multiple sales backing up both ends - where it varies per case whether its acceptable or not

        2) A highly outdated hat with significantly lower current sellers and two relatively discrepant sales - especially if the sellers are slightly below the high end but nowhere near the low end, we typically allow larger ranges than usual (an example from a long time ago: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5618645cdea9e96c294ac14d )

        3) The exact opposite of he above; where a hat sells twice but significantly above current - it may be hard to determine the outlier, but the fact that the raise is warranted would then call for a wide range rather than waiting for more sales, as opposed to a situation where a hat sells once around current and once far above current. A situation where someone purchases something to keep, who is then persuaded by a collector giving him a decent profit margin falls under this category.

Under normal circumstances, these data points would call for a third sale to determine the outlier. Typically, when no third sale provides itself, we decide to leave such items unpriced or outdated.

In this particular case, it seems that someone intending to keep paid about double the backpack price at the time to get it, and within a relatively short time, he resold it for twice what he paid. The old suggestion has already been accepted, and I suppose it would not be fair to only account for the lowest of the two sales if our concern is picking out the outlier.

Even in those situations, older suggestions could be reverted, as a means of retroactively deciding it should have remained outdated. The downside of that solution in this case (as well as in the bunsen mentioned) is that both sales were significantly above the outdated value (i.e if it were to be reverted it would be 54-61 again when both recent sales have been far higher).

As such, I'm fine with this wide range here. Note that all of the above is a way for us to handle controversial suggestions: the cases where these desperate measures are required are exceptions.
