https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/30418;5;u17 | https://backpack.tf/item/5353389531| No clue on the b/o (was owned by the swap owner)
169/1.82 = 92.85 keys, rounded to 93
Hat was unsold for months on swap for 150 keys until the site removed tf2 trading, no idea how long it was on mp but gathering the time the owner listed all the other hats, im guessing this is far from quick.
I can not see any proof of you suggestion. Obviously invalid... How is there a high demand supposed to be on an item just 3 times exists?
And you can not judge of Marketprices to key value :) Invalid and disliked
Vince stated the proof clear as day.
https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/30418;5;u17 - Look at the
photograph, it sold right there for 169 bucks on October 17th of 2019.Now, if we go here --> https://manic.tf/keyprice/?at=2019-10-17 We see that key prices were 1.82 that day.
169 / 1.82 = ~92.8 rounding that to 93 due to rules.
Rendering this suggestion 100% valid.
Please read up on unusual price suggestion rules here --> Rules
Why would you refer from a marketplace sold item to a value of keys? This is not valid at all...
You can't just type the price from a random webite and calculate keys out of it!
marketplace isnt a random website, cash trades on marketplace are perfectly fine proof. -> divided by the cash value of keys on that day to give a value for the hat in keys
https://backpack.tf/rules - please read up how to make a suggestion and what counts as valid proof here
i mean, you own one, i do understand you dont want the price to drop but this was the only sale usable
The price did NOT change for 2 years. I just want to refresh the price. Noone intended to make it drop. I do NOT defend my item I just want to refresh it. Vincentius is just randomly complaining about an item he does not deal with at all. :)
I didn't see a single word of Vince's that sounded like complaining. You cannot drop a price because of "inactivity" and make a range with no sales.
If it sold for 93 on marketplace, it's probably a good idea to be updated since obviously the old price is outdated and incorrect in today's standards.
it didn't change for 2 years, meaning it wouldn't be valued at anywhere near 205. try selling it for 205 keys now, would anyone be paying that?
vincentius is just creating a price suggestion for an item, many of us suggesters create suggestions for items we dont own and that's fine to keep the prices up to date. anyway like it says its just a price suggestion, if you don't like it then take it with a grain of salt and move on.
You guys are referring to one single sell on marketplace. There are 3 existing at all so the price will not change.
you clearly didnt read the rules did you?
the 2 previous sales are in 2017 and 2018. that makes them outdated, bc those were what the hat sold for 1 and 2 years ago. would that be recent by today's standards?
"Sales older than 2 months old are not valid proof; this does not mean that they are not useful. Feel free to include them to provide supplemental proof. Just don't rely on them to set your range"
like i said, you clearly didn't read the rules whatsoever despite me and lemon telling you to. an unusual can be 1 of 1 and not a single rational person would base its most recent price completely off what it sold for a year ago, the quantity in existence doesnt matter. your rationale also doesnt make sense, you clearly purchased it at this price (93 keys) and you're conveniently excluding your sale for the sake of keeping the price at >185 keys? perfect example of price manipulation.
anyway, good luck getting your suggestion accepted, but we all know it wont. ive wasted enough time here trying to get anything through to you
lmao now you're telling me to read the rules?
"sales are not valid" so what do we price them off of? we just pluck the numbers from thin air??
"Cash Trades / Market Transactions
It's ok to use cash trades as proof, proof of the PayPal payment would be nice (personal information can be redacted of course). Bp.tf price for keys are acceptable now (like all prices it might be outdated tho so it's still recommended to be doublechecked before blindly using it).
Use the value of keys on the site at which the item sold to determine the key conversion at the time of the trade. (i.e. use the SCM value of keys on SCM sales, use the marketplace.tf value of keys on marketplace.tf sales, use the opskins value of keys on opskins sales)."
I don't see your point as this sale being invalid
"Exception 1: High Tier Hats
Sales for high tier hats (>200 keys) can be based on a single sale if there are no other sales in the last 3 months. Estimations can be made for unpriced/outdated parts of that trade as long as reasonable.
Exception 2: Rare Hats
Any hat can be priced based on a single sale if ALL these criteria are met:
There are no other recent sales in the last 3 months
If the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred OR the hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack.
The hat is not a new hat / effect (i.e. new Halloween effects during the Halloween event). You must wait until after the event is over to price these based on a single sale."
how many sections from the rules must i copy paste here before you'll read them yourself?
Dude, Geel literally owns marketplace.tf. He also (I believe) owns backpack.tf and scrap.tf.
It's not a random website, people use Marketplace to price things all the time.
Stop telling us what's valid and what's not when you've never had an accepted price suggestion, it's not your say.
Your comment has nothing to do with the discussion.
So does your statement which is invalid. Please prove before complaining.
No discussion was needed in the first place, you keep trying to tell us stuff is invalid when it's quite literally not.
Also, let me ask YOU to prove before complaining. You tried telling us Marketplace sales were invalid and could not be used for price suggestions, I see no proof of your claim.
If I can't get it through to you that the sale is valid, then no one can.
Once again, read up on the rules before making a price suggestion or trying to criticize anothers suggestion.
the irony is that you purchased this hat off this "TF2 selling website which does not cooperates with valve"
and now when we use what you purchased the hat for to update its price, it's unacceptable?
you purchased this hat off marketplace which is now being used in this suggestion?? and you did refer to marketplace??
idk if it's plain ignorance, but "https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/30418;5;u17 | https://backpack.tf/item/5353389531" as stated in the original suggestion is clearly your purchase and like i said, it's being used to update the hat, is that unacceptable?
