Hopefully, I have enough evidence. As always I haven't donated to bot.tf, but if anyone can link it to further support my suggestion that'll be great. Some of my proof comes from this suggestion as it's still valid evidence that further supports this range: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5eb7f4a41e9a7e51c15853b4
what is happening ? gonna be 50 ref ? or what ? :c
imagen telling a trader year ago that key prices are actually going down with the help of bots
most likely would think you are lying
Hello, could you please explain a bit what do you mean? I am actually curious since I am one of those traders that hated bots a ton
Bots don't value items like humans, they're machines. They analyze patterns and sell accordingly to make profit. If they see keys being sold at a higher price, they'll mark up and if they keep doing sales at that price, they'll keep on inflating the price. A similar thing happened just now but instead of marking them higher, they marked them lower since there were some sales at lower prices. This might not be THE reason but it's certainly one of them, plus there is a shit ton of refined nowadays compared to back then so that could be it too.
And it may also be due to aim bots, who tend to empty the servers, many players give up, reducing the demand in trading and thus the value of the keys, like for any dying market.
Nah, I've seen a couple of aimbots in trade servers, and people just let them be lol. It's a trade server, people are there to trade, not to kill.
My feeling comes from all the backpacks emptied in scrap.tf raffles mentionning "I quit", these players / traders explaining that they are tired of bots, giving away all their unus etc. . I thus wonder if there are not significantly less people investing money into the game justifying this loss of interest toward the mann co supply crate key.
Y'all also gotta understand how inflation works. Every day tens of thousands of items are being dropped into the game. They aren't worth much, but eventually, people turn that into scrap, and rec, and ref, slowly creating more and more ref out of thin air.
Exactly, the demand stays relatively the same but the supply keeps growing more and more.
https://imgur.com/a/l7Ilnig - i've bought some keys at 52.77 recently. there's a couple of sellers at that price now as well and probably some successful buyers
there's also 4 pages of sellers that are at 52.88 now.
Keys are 100% going down.

Well to be fair, I did say they were going down, but honestly, I didn't expect them to drop this much this quickly wtf.
Seems the suggested ranges are now well out of date. Might want to give it a day or two and if the current set holds then re-suggest.
Yeah, I was planning on doing that.
