I closed my previous suggestion and created this one cause bots started lowering the price like crazy after I posted the suggestion and now it's out of date, so I made this one that's more up to date. I dont have as much proof as my last suggestion cause the price kept changing frequently so I can't compare backpacks and such since bots were changing the price like 2 or 3 times a day. I'm 100% sure that there are A LOT of sales at this price range and this price range seems to be the ones bots are finally settling on. As always if anyone has more proof, feel free to add.

Bots were the ones responsible for making the key prices so darn high in the first place, so it's actually a good thing that they're lowering it for once.

Remember when keys were, like, 20 refs 4 years ago? When I came back to this game, I was shocked to see it had doubled. Didn't know bots had that kind of power over the economy.

Nah, Bill's hats and buds were destined to fail. I'd say that what really killed them is stuff like Marketplace.tf and paying for expensive items with real money rather than items. Because nowadays items have like 3 price ranges: items you pay with refined, items you pay with keys, and everything else that is ridiculously expensive. Also, what Item is sold very frequently that's worth more than a key or 2? There is simply no need for more expensive currency because very few people trade items with such high prices.

What I meant was that mass sales do in fact help dropping the price.Obvious that keys and refined are the main currencies but with the ammount being sold now it's obvious they will drop further. But yeah I agree with a majority of what you said.

Also, it looks like 52-51.88 is 100% the range bots are going to be settling on, here's a screenshot of the classifieds 24 hours later after I made my suggestion, only 1 bot selling at 51.88 and the only buy order above 51.88 is at 52.44 and it been listed several days ago and the owner hasn't bumped it since so it's an obvious outlier.

meh hope this end soon so i can buy keys again and keep whit high value items profit ( trading very low items currently :(

keys are and will always fluctuate price in ref, but they've always been consistent in terms of real money.
