Prices on the market place consistently being from 15 to 20 dollars with spikes of 70

MartketPlace only has couple sales but shows ~17 dollars

scm shows all sales for all effects on the hat, so can't be used unless you have evidence that it's specifically steaming, you need to use only but all sales past 3 months, marketplace.tf has no indate sales so none can be used.

Taken from your own item history. Your Steaming Copper's Hard Top has some sales (not from scrap.tf of course) that may give you some evidence that can help you in your suggestion. So maybe start from there.

edit: Apparently those are just movements, but still worth the time to check out the compare histories.

Bought that hat for 6.25 keys and sold it for 7 keys, ScrapTF was offering 6.75 keys.

Scrap.tf base their prices on buy orders and sell orders on backpack.tf, so you should be looking at backpack.tf in the end. Usually, the classifieds are used to determine the range (in terms of unusuals at least). The low end is based on the buy orders while the sell orders determines the high end. In other words, If the seller sets at X keys and can't sell it quickly, then no reason to put it at >X keys, same with low end, if buy orders are lower than Y, Y is invalid.
