also i don't have proof but this crossbow was listed on MP at $220, theoretically giving this a $220 "buyout", but the exorcism would render this sale unusable
supporting evidence: spelled collectors cow manglers and phlogistinators have historically sold for more in the past and have been excluded from their respective suggestions as well
perfect, now the vanilla version of this item will be based off an exorcism sale
I very much disagree with the mod. I've had multiple people add me trying to buy my c.f. eyelander with exorcism with 'name your price' propositions
The comparisons made here do not really hold up. First of all, all those cases are double spelled. Secondly, all those cases have multiple sales on other copies to create an average, and this one does not.
Not to mention the fact that one of the mangler sales you provide as evidence that double spelled = automatically much higher supports my stance more than your own as its practically in the suggested range.
https://backpack.tf/suggestion/5d613a5fd381721071674266 spelled collectors also selling below average, as is the case with this particular crossbow, and Im willing to bet that the same is the case in that phlog where you didnt mention the sales.
Spelled items can sell higher and it may be a weighing factor in someones decision making, but reasons beyond just the spell can also compel a trader to make a decision to pay a lot for an item:
- When ample evidence is provided that an item was bought solely for the spells they should still always be included
What I am saying is that a spell does not automatically mean the sale is never usable. Who is to say this person didn't just want the crossbow? I see no others for sale at first glance.
Since this lacks data for comparison I am in favor of this being usable, but you are free to gather second opinions.
gathering second opinions won’t even matter because what you say goes regardless so we’ll just let the vanilla price of this weapon be based off the spelled version

The killer exclusive has gotten a fairly substantial rework. That should make this a little less extreme.

the crossbow has exorcism, i'm sure on a rare collector's item like this, it would affect the price
