The Trade:

(Clean) Scorching Noh Mercy and 100 pure keys for a Golden Frying Pan.

The Golden Frying Pan has an upcoming suggestion made by Offline at 1650-1900 keys.

So when we subtract the 100 key add, the value of this misc lands at 1550-1800 keys, and since this is a single sale; the price clocks in at 1675 keys.

(for some reason the keys he added to the trade don't show up in his bp, probably because the trade was done immediately after he acquired the keys.)

This sale will need to be capped at 1600. Even if the seller planned to host a bidding war, they would have previously accepted 1600 Keys if offered.

Not that it's necessary, but I feel like I should clear things up being the other party which was interested. However many months ago, I offered 1500 pure for the Noh while the user was asking 1600. My offer was collecting and was to be available around about this time. I didn't want to pay 1600 and at no point agreed to 1600, especially with several clean Noh's on the market. If you were told my offer was 1600 and active, that's incorrect and should have no weighting on this unusuals final price. My offer was 1500 and only ever 1500.

You didn't come to me with an offer of 1500, I gave you the chance to do 1500 right there and then, had you been quick I would've also taken it, since it was my 'personal offering' for a discount if you were to quickly buy it.

The only listing at the time of clean Noh's, for many months, had been mine, with a duped one sitting at 1500, and only recently another clean one has hopped up at 2000.

However, seeing as you didn't take it then, I stated it then and many times after, that the price will be at 1600, which it was in bp.tf listing too

You never said you won't do 1600, you never stated you would 'only do 1500', it was a lot of uncertainty in that regards and just waiting game, with you claiming we don't "have an agreed price" nearing the end of our dealings, altho I many times stated it was 1600, and the listing said 1600 too, making anything below 1600 an offer and not a buyout, something I wouldn't have to take, leading back to me being able to offer it for you and then retract it after time had passed too long

Had someone come to me with 1600 pure flat, and without anyone else in the process, I would've by bp.tf rules had to take it, and would've taken it

EDIT: Due to uncertainty between you (Desert) and me when it comes to the price, I have given liszt the original deal of Noh + 200 keys for GPan, making it a fair situation for him as there was no competition after all

Me saying "we don't have an agreed price" means I don't want to pay that amount (1600). It doesn't matter whether the noh was reasonable at "2000', 1600, 1500 etc. what matters is what you were willing to take and what you ended up accepting. Given that in past you were willing to take 1500, suggests an even lower b/o cap should be implemented.

Regardless, using my offer of 1600 (which never existed) in order to hike up the price of this is invalid. I offered 1500, you weren't able to take, we didn't have a deal. I wager that you would have taken 1500 if it were still available today, given it was our original agreement. Whatever we say, actions speak louder than words. Your actions suggest a b/o cap is necessary.

he would have taken 1600 pure

      suggest at 1600

I outbidded another buyer who offered 1600 pure for the misc. So that is not the case here.

"No sale should be valued higher than a hat's buyout in pure if that buyout was up for a reasonable amount of time. If a person in the comments of a trade states a willingness to sell for "x" pure, the trade should not be valued above "x." "

https://bot.tf/stats/listings/Y5Z7Q8Z5 on june 23th buyout was 1600 keys

https://bot.tf/stats/listings/4J97G13V on july 4th buyout was 1600 keys

no sale should be valued higher than the buyout, 1600 keys here, if it was up for a reasonable amount of time, (since june 18 https://bot.tf/stats/listings/MLVORLNZ).

Valuing the sale here at 1675 doesn't work according to backpack rules

That situation was altered when me and the other bidder offered on the misc. It wouldn't be left at 1600 if neither of us hadn't picked it up.

The person offered 1600, doing absolutely nothing for it and collecting no bit of it (atleast not saying to me he had), and the offer was done (according to a comment by him on my steam profile), 22nd of february this year. It's well over 5 months old with absolutely nothing backing it up, I don't see how it adds anything to this.

I took liszt's offer because it was vastly better and was right there and then.

if liszt had sent you a trade offer right there and then with 1600 keys in it...would you have taken it

He mostly likely wouldn't, since a good trader would know that pitting up two bidders would yield the maximum profit possible.

So, yet again, that wouldn't be the case.

                    Nah, I wouldn't have.

Like said above, I would've made the two bid against eachother, since now I had interest and could get my worth out of the trade, but with the other's lack of responsivity thus far and no interest in actually making trades happen, I accepted liszt's offer cause it tickled me good.

Hey everyone, I am closing this suggestion; and i will create the final iteration at the 1600 mark; due to recent events that have unfolded.
