How did you correlate that item history to that marketplace sale, since the day the hat left the marketplace bot and when the sale happened is different?

Good question. It seems like what the history shows is the last day the marketplace bot's profile was scanned on backpack, not the last time it was actually in the inventory. Furthermore, the sale is observed on May 31. If you expand the history, you can see that the newest owner painted the hat on June 1st; something people often do closely after purchasing hats.
