Scrap.tf buying keys for 53 Ref, Selling for 55 Ref:
I would wait for things to settle a bit to get a tighter range
You need more proof of sales, not just buyers/sellers (compare links, bot.tf trade offer screenshots)
I would advise you wait for the price to stabilize before making a suggestion on a currency. There is no way a range this large could be possible, either the sellers will drop down in price(which they are) or the buyers will bring up their price. Also as stated by others you need sales, a lot of them, for a currency suggestion.
Agreed, 1 ref difference in the range isn't the best representation for currency, I would wait till buyers/sellers settle with a scrap difference then find evidence of valid sales to prove that range
1. The market still has considerable velocity as far as the recent downward trend goes,
2. Just because you see listings does not necessarily mean inventory is moving at those prices. I too can list for something like 50 refined and then go on this suggestion section and say "look, wickedplayer494's selling keys for 50 refined! that should be the price!".
Thanks for at least not being another one of those stupid "quick maffs" suggestions and making a genuine intent.
