I don't get that. If the buyer purchased it for $100, to them they bought it for around 37 keys, not 54 keys. It's only 54 keys (although the seller would've only received around 50 keys because of the % Marketplace.tf takes) because you can exchange funds for cheaper keys.

It should be priced at around 40 keys - that's how the purchased appeared to the buyer. Otherwise someone may sell this item on Marketplace.tf for 54 keys... so what, we'd make another price suggestion for 78 keys? Doesn't make sense to me.

I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that paying $100 is equivalent to buying it for 37 keys

        um, 100/2.7?

Why buy keys for $2.70 if Marketplace, the same medium that the Crossbow was sold on, sells them for much cheaper?

For suggestions, prices of a marketplace sale (Marketplace.tf, Mannco.store, Steam Community Market, etc.) are priced as such: Sale price of the item divided by the key price of the site it sold on.

Thus, $100 is what the buyer paid divided by $1.85, the average selling price of keys for the date it sold.

          $100 / $1.85 = 54 keys rounded

Alright, then wouldn't that just be sneaky since the item appears to be sold at a reduced value to its bp price? If this item gets valued at 54 keys, Marketplace.tf will set a bar value for $145.8 USD, right? So if this item was resold for $100, it would be listed as 33% off even though it's the same amount. Seems stingy. That's what I find confusing.

I'm still not seeing where you think keys are $2.70

Prices theoretically should be priced at what the buyer spends.

https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/5021;6 (key prices on Aug 10 on Marketplace.tf are 1.85$)

        100/1.85 = 54 keys (use a scientific calculator)

Makes sense to me, not sure how you get 2.7 but yea.

Okay, maybe I was wrong. Guess I haven't been involved in suggestions for long enough.

Is alright, these things take time to learn. Just observe on what we do and you will get it.
