I'm not much of a genius when it comes to price suggestions, but it seems that as time went by buyr orders have gone over what you are trying to price it at, and I think that counters the suggestion?
I also think the price is low but, the buy order was made after the suggestion was posted
like i said ik but shouldnt that still take effect?
you'd think so with unusuals at least. never understood how an obviously "inaccurate" pricing contributes to anything. "It could definitely sell for more" should be evidence enough sometimes, at least to wait for another sale. even if it's been a month, a low suggestion doesn't do much but discourage future buyers, whether or not the "true price" isn't what bp says.
your argument of āobviously inaccurateā doesnāt have any backbone if you donāt back it up with proof
āshould be evidence enough sometimesā
ātrue priceā
provide some proof to back your claims instead of using your own opinions as replacement for everyoneās
my point being proof shouldn't ALWAYS be a replacement for common sense, especially with the knowledge that a hat can and *has* sold for more. Nobody with decent knowledge of pricing would look at this hat and think, "this is only worth 21 keys." Not really a provable point, but should be easy to understand if you've ever looked at a hat and thought "I could get x keys for this," only to see it suggested for much less, and subsequently pass on the opportunity to buy.
I've seen counter-points to this idea, "Whoever wants the hat will pay what they deem fair, it'll be repriced afterwards. If nobody pays more than the suggested price, then the pricing is accurate." I guess my problem is that some people's pricing doesn't go beyond looking at the last passed suggestion.
Consider the 16 and 21 key sales on this hat were deemed outliers, and 47 was suggested. Someone might offer their 45 key hat for this, thinking "I'm getting a deal here," have it accepted, and the sale would be used to further support the 47 key sale. Were the 21 key sale to pass, that same potential buyer might be offered the same trade, and decline saying "It's only worth 21 keys, what a lowball." I feel like this is a common occurrence, that low suggestions discourage future buyers in some way or another. No way to prove it with numbers of course, just feel like the possibility shouldn't be discounted if the goal is to find an accurate price
Great point, I agree, this is priced too low
This is evidently low, unpriced is always better then an inaccurate price.
Sales are no longer in-date, would that invalidate this suggestion or no?
Clearly mods have a very hard time deciding what to do here, which has made the sales out of date, yes.
I had asked for other opinions but no other mods responded to my my mod comment so ill just handle this as it has been up for far too long.
16 quicksold and was never listed on the market for that low https://bot.tf/stats/listings/4KV01Q21 - listed for 35 when sold. If we ignore that sale, we have sales at 21 and 47 which are pretty discrepant. I would leave this unpriced.
