Suggesting prices for purchased killstreak skins is borderline impossible. Let's try anyways.

Sale #1:

Due to backpack.tf not allowing me to suggest a price for a Strange Professional Killstreak Red Bear Shotgun (Field Tested) normally, I'm pricing this using what I spent for the shotgun, then subtracting how much a Professional Shotgun Kit costed, and then converting that number into that day's key amount.

$60/ 1.87 = 32.08, or 32 keys

Sale #2:

$35/ 1.85 = 18.91 keys, or about 19 keys.

If I did something wrong, or I need to fix something, let me know. Getting advice on how to suggest a price for an unlisted item is harrowing, especially when not even staff or avid price suggestors respond with helpful information.

When you use a basic killstreak skin in a price suggestion, you don't need to subtract the kit value from the sale because most of the time skins with Basic and specialized killstreak sell for roughly the same price as one without killstreak. It should be fine to take the price it actually sold for. In this case the pro one is most likely an outlier because they do sell for more. I would check this with a mod first but I'm pretty sure that's how it works

Are you still allowed to take the price of the basic killstreak away from the overall value if you want to, though? And I tried asking a forum mod about how I would go about making a suggestion a few days ago, but never got a response, so I'm going in blind.

No, don't take the price of the kit away. As I said basic and specialized ones tend to sell for around the same price as one without killstreak. If a professional one sells for significantly more, count it as an outlier because it most likely would have sold for the pro ks

Alright, edited my comment to remove the killstreak addition, though I still ended up with the same rounded value estimate.

So here the pro one sold for $60/1.87=32.08 keys ~32 and basic ks $35/1.85=18.91 ~19. 32 is an outlier because it most likely sold for more for the pro killstreak. I'd go 19 flat

So should I change it to 19 - 32 keys, or keep it at 14-19 keys?

go 19 flat, you shouldn't subtract the kit's price from any of the sales, and 32 most likely sold that high because of it's pro ks

Is there a way to change proposed price, or do I need to make a 5th version of this suggestion?
