I am new to backpack.tf and suggesting prices, so if I made any mistakes, please do tell me.

Last week I bought an Unusual Bucking Bronco from the market and saw it wasn't priced yet.

I am not quite sure if the market graph changes over time based on currency conversion rates, but my personal market history says I bought it for 19.29 Euro, the historic price graph on the taunt itself shows it was sold for 19.39 Euro.

I bought the taunt for 19.29 Euro which is around $22.83.

one for 10 keys, another for 11 and a couple of other ones that are significantly higher priced.

Since I bought it for around $22.83 that would equal to 12.2 keys, using backpack's price for keys, but since there's 2 up on sale for cheaper than that it would mean the price suggestion should be less right? Since it wouldn't make sense to suggest a price of 12 keys if there's a seller for 10.

Using a low value of 10 (lowest sales price on backpack.tf) and high value of 11 (1 key below my sale and the same price as another listing on backpack.tf) seems like a good idea.

If I made a mistake and 1 sale isn't enough to price a taunt, my mistake. Maybe once someone else wants to make a suggestion they can use my prior sale as suggestion evidence.

Also I do not know why the little icon at the top says I do not own the item. The little toolbox icon next to the comment and vote icons. Click on my name and backpack and you'll see I own it and it shows on both my backpack.tf and Steam inventory.

It may be due to the website using he fallback inventory, I don't know.

You can't make a range with 1 sale.

Also you need to take key value for your purchase from Steam Community Market, not backpack value.

When should I try it again? Right away? That would seem a bit odd and I feel like it's a surefire way to get blocked temporarily from this website.

Also I have 1 more question. Why should we use Steam market key prices instead of bp.tf's mann co key price when suggestion a price for an item bought from the SCM? It just sounds weird to me considering bp.tf uses their own mann co key pricing to determine all item and backpack/inventory values.

Considering I bought the item with wallet cash I don't quite understand the logic behind it, sorry for being new.

You're meant to use the key value on whichever site you got the item from.

19.29e/1.98e (key value Nov 7 on SCM) = 9.74 Key = 9.5 Keys when rounded down.

Also, plenty of people resubmit their suggestions as new sales occur or errors are corrected in their submissions.

there are lots more sales than this in item histories, but it's gonna take a lot of work. If you wanna suggest on something properly it'll be a good idea to leave this and try something easier (with less in existence). This is also a brand new effect so sales will still be unstable for at least an other month

Sellers can't be your high end, thus you can't include 11 in the range if you don't have a sale at 11

Well my sale was at 12 technically.

so why is 11 your high end instead of 12?

Wait, nevermind, with an unsold at 11 for over 2 weeks 12 might be a bit high anyway

Exactly. I thought it wouldn't make sense to price it at my high when there's 2 listings on backpack.tf that are 1-2 keys below what I paid for it.

You'll still need a sale at 11 to include it in your range though
