Mar 15th 2020: Marketplace.tf sale @ 4.50$ while keys varied around $2. (~2 Keys)

https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/6522;6;td-30350

Marketplace.tf has had 4 other sales @ ~$4.50. These are each a year apart and thus only the most recent sale should apply.

No listings or recent sales on backpack.tf, Only one very underpriced bot buy order.

Always make a range when you have multiple sales

you should never be averaging sale values

True but it simplifies things for SCM text explination. Regardless all three SCM sales are still ~3 Keys. The imgur image proof + publicly viewable SCM key and dough puncher strangifier history should all support that.

Nothing supports 3 if you have nothing at 3. You need to close this and resuggest with fixes.

I have updated the main post and thus removed my other posts to condense since its been within the hour. This has been done to appease your nitpicks. Needing to close and resuggest a post within the hour seems extreme.

I do not know what you mean by the fact that I have nothing at 3 Keys when there are clearly 3 Sales on SCM with image proof right there.

You should not be pulling too-old data and should not be rounding to the nearest whole key at this low of a value.

Everything I have pulled has been within the last year (2020-2021), with few exceptions to emphasize points / prices. What would you consider too old of data then, especially with so few sales.

Are you saying that I should be doing things to 2 decimal places and end up giving it a range? People seem to hate ranges nowadays so its a damned if you do or dont on getting super specific. Should I be going and checking exact key values for the exact days and times of those sales, that seems a bit extreme.

"People seem to hate ranges nowadays so its a damned if you do or dont on getting super specific."

It looks like you barely use the suggestion-side of the site so I'm not sure how you're coming to this conclusion. Ranges are fine as long as there's proper justification for them.

I did exact math to two decimal places for each based on current/at the time key values, it results in 4.22, 2.94, 3.17, 2.96, and 2.25 respectively going down the list. To make this a ranged suggestion would put its lowest at 2.25 and highest at 4.22, a whole 2 key range. To average them out would be 15.54 / 5 sales = 3.1, literally .1 over the 3 keys im suggesting. I Dont see the issue in suggesting 3 keys based on the sales as its a round, clean number for an item that likely wont have another sale for 6-12 months.
