Rule of bp.tf suggestions: “Modifications like Paint, Spells, Name/Desc Tags and Killstreaks don't add value for suggestions generally”

Item sold: https://backpack.tf/item/339761111 (clean) - went for 100 keys pure

https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198059874094#!/compare/1624406400/1624492800 - it shows 99 keys, because I gave one key to my friend. History of incoming trade offers, however, shows 100 keys:

Conclusion: clean hat went for 100 keys pure.

Additional info:

- My purchasing of this hat is not valid, cuz I QB it.

- The previous owner got this hat in a bulk-deal, all unusuals are outdated, so it is kinda hard to say how much the merryweather was valued separately in that trade https://imgur.com/Mu0cCJd

- The owner before him got this hat around 3 years ago (https://imgur.com/XwRwf2r ), and history of his backpack shows it: https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198113466974?time=1527379200

- I have another sunbeams vintage merryweather which is not for sale. I bought it in July, 2020, so also not valid sale. https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198059874094?time=1593734400

- Current buy order are above 75 keys, which means, that actual bp.tf price isn’t work anymore.

There are other sales besides yours that need to be taken into consideration.

well, rest unusuals are outdated, some of stranges are pro KS. Are you sure that it might be valuable?

You many want to consider this sale on mp.tf:

        https://marketplace.tf/items/tf2/182;5;u17 (sale @ $149.99 on April 9, 2021)

Other than that, I couldn't find anything else since a few instances of the hat are duped to kingdom come xD

well, I see no item history and level of this MP sale. It might be lvl 73, that I saw a few weeks agoon bp tf. That one was dupped.

You paid 79 keys

https://gladiator.tf/listings/60d2820097db410dc3e602d1 - your buy order was just under 76 keys

There isn't really anything saying 79 is countered completely. Considering the seller was listed at 90 keys, albeit for 5 days only, I think a range is better in this case

The man, who was selling for 90 keys, was selling a dupped lvl 73 beams merry; I payed a few keys more than buy order, as other qs buyers do. 3.4 keys above the common buy orders for hat in that value-range = still a qs.

i'd suggest this at 79-100 if i was making it myself, even if the sale was for 77 id still include it

Idk, I thought QS deals are not valuable as a new price suggestion factor. QS deals can only proove the next thing: if common buy orders (not the outliers ofc) are more, than actual bp tf price, it might be only an evidence that old bp tf price isn't correct anymore...

Like what the quickbuyers do? They are looking for unusual, that seller can give for pure items, which are a bit more than buy orders. Like if unusual worths ~20 keys, they can offer like 21 or 21.5 keys. But if the buy orders are 75.6, so 3.4 keys difference is still a QS.

79 should be included in the range here as it was a perfectly valid sale. buyers did not counter it as they were only at 75~ at the time.

      this should be 79 - 100 keys.

well, now buy orders are higher than 79. And I haven't include it in a price suggestion, cuz it was a qs.

Whether or not something was a quicksale has nothing to do with percentual discounts and whatnot. Selling quickly is nothing more than a potential reason to exclude a sale from the range, which is why sales are sometimes left out on the grounds of being a QS. A listing saying "quickselling" or something along those lines does not automatically exempt a sale from being used.

As for buyers - it is very common these days for buyer scripts to overcut automatically, resulting in buyer values that are very high. This usually does not really stop until one hits the market and (commonly) sells to said buyers. In particular on hats that are currently unavailable, they are generally not as meaningful as they used to be. Selectively using buyers from now to exclude a single end of a suggestion is not a good idea - either the market shifted since, in which case the hat should remain outdated, or the suggestion should be looked at in the time frame the sales happened in.

If we look at the market at the time these sales happened, nothing implied 79 should not be in the range, and therefore I believe it is best to have the range here. This is supported by the fact that it was listed at 90, which would imply 100 flat is high (which makes sense since it was sold to a collector; they tend to pay more than everyone else).

Based on the above, the options here would be the range, or leaving it outdated until the market stabilizes further. As the change is warranted and it is not very likely that we will get more sales in the nearby future, I would probably go with the range here.

ok, seems sounds fair. BTW 90 keys one for sale is a dupped one

I will make a resuggestion then
