If the slick cut that initially sold for 280 got dumped for less after this sale (180), that suggests 280 is high. This is also shown in a previous suggestion for the slick: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/619fa32b2c9a1b2d310735a9

180 would be a more appropriate value here, meaning the last sale is closer to 965. Could round that too, making the new range 800-970. If you think 180 is too low, I guess rounding that sale to 1000 could also work.

There may also be some issues with the sales you mentioned with outdated hats - even if there are no usable sales to mini them, that doesn't mean you should take an outdated value for them. Excluding them would be best, but that doesn't affect the range above so it won't matter for now.

I mentioned the 500 sale with the outdated hats to show it's lowest value with the outdated prices, ill keep it in mind for next time, cheers.

My bad on the ooze slick, missed the suggestion and the 280 being an outlier.

No worries, I was more referring to the sale with the frostbite ground control, since the value of that is potentially a lot higher (than buy orders).

I said above that you could go 800-970, if we choose to value the slick at 180 (since that's the latest sale, should be fine for a mini).

Based on the situation above I would actually leave out that sale as a whole and go 800-950

The 950 would be excluded cause the ground control has no sales either, is it still fine to go 800-950 with that in mind?

thats probably going to be slightly higher, which means that the 950 sale will actually be very close to 1020.

With that in mind, Id say this will be close enough here.
