Lots of buyers above 71.33 + stn can currently buy 1000+ above that. Excluding. Most of the 71.33 is also from my bot where I quicksell keys under buyers to get ref quickly. Couple of sellers below 72 but the volume is too strong to exclude. 71.66-72 is better than the current price at least x)
It appears key prices are still falling with the highest instance of key sales happening at 71.33 refined. I understand the desire to have a more accurate key price, but suggesting in a fast moving market just leads to more key price suggestions since this might be outdated in 1 day or 1 week.
I fail to see how 71.33 is relevant given the points made in my suggestion. One could also argue that it is rather obvious that they are mainly bought to resell to higher-paying bots(look how none of the 71.33 is from people selling to bots, only buying from them). And also, how can a more accurate price with another suggestion around the corner be less preferable than a super outdated price at 80 refs? The whole site suffers from incorrect pricing.(ie even if it is outdated in 1 week why would that matter, just create a new suggestion) we are talking about the main currency here which is the main price point on all sell/buy orders involving refined, it should have priority and should definitively have its price adjusted asap.
Fair point
This seems accurate. I don't understand people always arguing that the price isn't stable yet. Let's be frank, on the grander scale the price in ref is never stable. Sure, in a week this suggestion might be 1 ref besides the true value then, but the current suggested price already is about 8 ref behind what seems to be the reality of the market.
Price mods should really be more willing to update the price of keys frequently, even in an 'unstable market', given how it is, as Sprekt already pointed out in another comment of his on the chain, pretty much the main in-game currency.
There was a time when backpack.tf truly swayed the price of keys, but the site no longer affects price as much as it used to mainly because of how inaccurate our price is most of the time. While I would love for us to update the price quicker and more frequently, it could lead to people using our price more confidently again which would bring back the problem of swaying the market.
It desperately needs a new price

Stn pays 71.66 successfully https://stntrading.eu/tf2/keys
scrap seem to struggle to get any at 71 https://scrap.tf/keys
i think its bad time to update keys💀
Maybe, but it's way more accurate than the current. Tired of always having outdated pricings on all cheap items.
maybe. but the price seems to have stabilized somewhat. it's not falling like a stone like it did this past week.
sellers are already down to 71.66 ref
