sold for 209.99$ on Jan 12 and for 199.99$ on Mar 11.
Key average of the Jan 12 sale was 1.69. 209.99/1.69=124.25, rounding up to 125 per guidelines.
key average of the Mar 11 sale was 1.68. 199.99/1.68=119.04, rounding up to 120 per guidelines.
3 sales: 64, 120, 125. Ignoring the 64 keys sale since it is very close to current buyers.
Taking 120/125.

Your sale should cap out at your b/o (200 / 1.75 = ~114)
It should probably be 115 - 125 instead
I sold it for 120 tho
Well that's how B/O work if you have one up on mp.tf or for any form of cash. If you are advertising to sell it for a certain amount of cash but are willing to sell it for less in pure then ends up selling in cash you'll still have to take the pure amount given that's the lowest you were willing to take, if it was more in pure then it'll be fine however since pure is more reliable than cash I think!
I guess? It still doesn't really make sense to me because I'd rather use actual sales than descriptions on listings that could be outdated or just false (it's uncommon, but it happens. yeah I know we have the trust system for it but that isn't the point).
Also, wouldn't the 2 higher sales prove that my B/O was lower than what the item is actually worth? I could understand if I had it unsold for 4 months, but if the sale itself proves that the hat actually can get more than my B/O, I see no reason to use it, if anything I'd show that I undershoot how much it was worth.
Well I'm not sure how to explain it better than I did in the previous comment. Its just how it works I suppose, if you offer to sell it for lower then that's the value you meant to take for the hat even if it sold for more, but this rule does only apply for sales in cash or item overpay given those vary. If you want proof as to support the claim that you should cap this at your B/O then I'll provide multiple examples of my own!:
EX #1: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/6591b7e49289fb2a0506494a (Sold for 260 but was capped at 254 given listing)
EX #2: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/65c7ce70de6e08ab470e29e6 (Sold for 88 but was capped at 81 given listing)
EX #3: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/65c2777601477d73f80a30d0 (Sold for 118 but was capped at 100 given listing)
EX #4: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/65acd8459d8f451cd70f72c7 (Sold for 197 but was capped at 190 given listing)
EX #5: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/654f2c24d4afc00e5702692c (interesting example but it sold for 87 but was capped at 77 even with outdated listing)
It still doesn't make sense to me, we are ignoring actual sales for what it is written in a description of a hat.
What would've happened if I removed the listing and then made the suggestion? What if I was ok with selling it for even less? Would we need to cap it even lower if I told you that I would've accepted 70 (this is a random number don't take it seriously)? What if I had "buy it and I'll give you my old dog too" in the description, would we have to wait for someone to mini the old dog in order to accept this one?
I understand that for the rules it should cap out, but sales speak louder than just words and I personally would rather take the guaranteed rejected suggestion from the mods but use actual sales than to cap it on the sole basis of "he said she said" rules, even if that person was me.
(Also if I sounded rude in this or in the previous comments I apologize, that was not my intention)
Since you would have taken 115 if someone offered to buy it in pure, you can't value it any higher than 115
average price of keys on Jan 12th was 1.68 not 1.69 (nice)
still makes it 125 keys but just a small detail

Oh wow I forgot I had this open. Ye stn having it unsold for 14+ days counters this, closing
