the only way samus is wining is with charge shots, all she needs to do is, she needs to run, find cover, charge her shot, peek out and shoot, repeat
she's just not able to close enough distance to do damage with here other movers (she does have missile but that won't do enough damage to really do anything) this won't be close just more boring, i think 1 charged shot would roughly 1/4-1/2 damage to the heavy bots so it will take some time but it is doable
Samus can fashitsho close the distance. You are sleeping on her 3-frame jumpsquat; that is the fastest jumpsquat speed characters can have in the game. Her traction is also relatively low- not Luigi level, but still low, so her wavedashes can go far. Combine low traction and a 3-frame jumpsquat and you get quick coverage- but only on the ground. I do agree getting up to the cliff where they spawn would be too slow. She could get in for chip damage when they drop and back up right quick with wavedashes or a superwavedash (the tech that Jame showed us with the bomb slide across the stage) out of a minigun's effective treat range. Samus for sure winning the range battle and I agree this MU is heavily Samus-favored. Definitely one of my less thought-out hypotheticals
