I'm not sure what happened to backpack histories, but it doesn't show that Earth owned the hat in addition to it showing that I only traded 234 keys for it.

as to why it doesn't show up in item history, the item sold before backpack could make a backup of his inv

as for the compare links, some times they bug and don't show everything or he traded 6 keys before backpack could update his inv
