England #225: After a short siege, Gaveston surrendered to the earls of Pembroke and Surrey. He had with him a huge collection of gold, silver and gems, likely part of the royal treasury, which he was later accused to have been stealing from Edward during his time as treasurer. During this time, the Scots were able to reconquer lost territories from the war with Edward I and were able to evade the English Army with guerrilla-like tactics, led under the King Robert the Bruce.
