England #227: Edward was furious and deeply upset over what he saw was the murder of Gaveston, and made provisions for Gaveston's family. The Earls of Pembroke and Surrey were angry of Lancaster and they switched to Edward's side. To Lancaster however, he saw this as a way to preserve and stabilise the Kingdom.
