England #261: On 20 January 1327, the Earl of Lancaster and bishop were sent to inform Edward of Parliament's decision. Edward, in tears, agreed to abdicate in favour of his more popular son, Edward. The coronation took place at Westminster Abbey on 1 February 1327.
