I was offered to purchase it for 1000 and they had mentioned it was their lowest but I had declined so I can at least vouch that it is probably accurate

Unless you can get the owner to give you a screenshot of the sale with the name of the buyer visible, this will not be valid, as we believe from what evidence is available that this trade involved a scammer alt.
