fish had this listed at $1600 on mp.tf before the sale

keys were 1.75 at the time, means the buyout would be 914 keys.
rounding to 910 keys
Moth:
Hey, i'm the buyer, i've been talking to fish (the seller).
I've been confused why the price was at 910 instead of the 1000 paid, since that was already under the price asked. I get it now, but i still think it's wrong.
Fish had the hat priced on bp.tf at "$1600 OR 1600/1.5 = key price" for weeks. I don't do big cash trades, so i took it as a "1066 keys price". I waited, it didn't sell, I contacted and offered 1000 keys and Fish accepted. You can confirm that pricing with the seller.

When i got in contact, he removed the mp.tf listing, a few days before the trade actually happened (and told me he was, so the item didn't get bought)

It's a situation where the seller was putting up a cash price at $1600 and a key price at 1066 keys = $1845 mp.tf price, i disregarded the cash price as I simply prefer the security of trade authenticator.
Jarool:
i reckon it would be best to not cap the pure sale with a marketplace listing. if it sold for 1000 pure, it should be fine to just price it at that regardless of what they were selling for, especially if we're basing a B/O off of a marketplace listing, which can vary depending on the day.
very old, but somewhat similar situation: https://backpack.tf/suggestion/56ebef5dba8d88a42a186355
JayTuut:
agreed, considering what moth wrote.
In conclusion as others mentioned, if the trade was 1000 pure, the price suggestion should be 1000 pure.
Going 1000 keys flat here!
Feedback welcome! Thanks and have an amazing day! :D
closing and cheerio wants the suggestion.
