Want to chime in, asked Russell for help regarding repricing hats with more up to date gpan price. There’s a current price suggestion for the gpan which we’re basing the new price on, it’s a lot more accurate to what I paid for the pan shortly before I swapped it for the bomber so wanted a refreshed update!

the trade occurred a month after the pan got priced at ~3750 keys, this does not warrant a price change here.

an argument could be made that the pan this hat was bought with may be more valuabe than other pans, given killstreaker/sheen (though most likely not by enough to even round to the next 50) in which case you'd look into sales on that specific type of pan, not the newest pan price.

As I mentioned with my prior suggestion, Jarool, such as my Death at Dusk Virtual ViewFinder, I believe it's fine to price it with the new pan suggestion.

your death at dusk virtual viewfinder suggestion's reason is flawed for the reason i've now pointed out in the suggestion. your defence was that you're comparing it to what you did with the darkblaze tossle cap, which was a sale that occurred 3 months after the pan was last priced, and both this and the VVF occurred only a month after the pan was last priced.

Either way I believe it's best to let the mods weigh in. Darkblaze tossle was based on a sale that happened 5 months prior when it was and we needed it an updated pan price. I think it's no different for the d@d vvf and the DB brown bomber. Either way we can wait for the mods to weigh in

It's fine to wait for a mod, but I'd like you to consider this:

The sale here is closer to the "old" price of the pan (1 month), than it is to the suggested price on the pan (2 months). Do you think it is fair to ignore the pan price 1 month away from the sale, and instead take the pan price suggested 2 months after?

I get what you're saying, but as HalfDutchTiger mentioned about him purchasing a pan for 3900 is much closer to the new price suggestion at 3920 by PlantFoodClock than my price suggestion at 3737.5 keys

Gpans at 3737.5 keys in which I priced it were already below buy orders at the time. I just simply used updated prices see my darkblaze tossle suggestions

Agreed. The pan was freshly priced at the time of sale and should be used here, just because it has gone up after 4 months doesn't mean it should use the new price.

Anyone who’s been watching pan prices knows that even a month after the pan reprice it was outdated, I bought it in November for exactly 3900 and even a month after that they’d climbed up to 4000 and recently beyond even that. I’d like to use the new average of 3920 because it’s better representative of what had been paid for the hat.

I second what HalfDutchTiger has said. This is a more accurate suggestion

that purchase at 3900 fits barely outside the range of the pan at the time. it does not nullify the fact that there were purchases at 3700 and lower. you can't justify ignoring all the lower sales on the pan because they are outdated now, and not at the time of the brown bomber sale. at the very least, if we were to get a new price on the pan for the sake of updating the brown bomber, we should look at all sales leading up to the brown bomber purchase, not 2 months after.

The current pan reprice is based on sales that happened between before the bomber sale happened and now, I used the older pan price because I needed to if I wanted the bomber priced at all. It fits into the current time frame, it is past the time frame of the last pan reprice so why is it less accurate? Sure it’s 2 months after but the sales within that time are still being taken into account it doesn’t make the bomber sale outside the time frame. Not to mention my own pan purchase actually fits into the new price suggestion which I used to buy the bomber, there’s no reason not to use the new suggestion

Again, the lower sales on the pan are being excluded despite them being in range of the bomber sale, while we keep the higher sales. That's cherry-picking. There's no reason not to use the older suggestion.

I’m not cherry picking, those lower sales are simply not representative of the value of the hat. I’m not pricing the pan here I’m pricing the hat and the value of the pan I paid for it I have already showed to not be representative of the previous pan price. The last pan price simply does not apply to this hat and was used out of convenience.

The Darkblaze Brown Bomber and Death at Dusk Virtual ViewFinder are both recent sales as well. Also the 3900 sale from HalfDutchTiger shows that that it's closer to the new suggested price of 3920

Pans usually change prices after a month. I rather leave it to the mods to decide, Jay. HalfDutchTiger provided evidence that represents that this suggestion is more accurate. It's also still recently sold just like the Death at Dusk Virtual ViewFinder
