its only one sale so shouldnt it be one price not a range

The only reason why it is a range, is specifically because of the dispute of pan prices. If there has to be a moot on a pan price change, then I'll just delete the suggestion. But it is an estimated range, based on present market valuations.

I would go with Salty's recommendation of 7425 on your previous suggestion.

yeah i believe the rule is ranges are for multiple sales, not estimation.

I would love nothing more than to simply agree, but that is what we valued the pan at. I don't know if there's precedence for an exception or a rule change, but I think there's a necessity that needs to be met, when dealing in these circumstances. If sales need minis, and people can't make minis, because there's not enough sales, or suggestions aren't meeting the current rates and demands of the market, estimations will have to make do, to keep prices as accurate as possible. Accuracy vs Precision. So the current ruleset is simply not up to snuff with how quickly things are moving. I will gladly delete it if asked, I have no issues with complying; but that doesn't mean the sale didn't happen. And specifically for the prices WE agreed upon. So maybe price estimates with voted values are in order, on top of just "yes" and "no"s.

The simple fact of the matter is that the rules require more than one sale for a ranged price to be accepted. I'm no expert in suggestions, I only have a couple accepted ones, but the people that have commented on your suggestions thus far do this practically every day and know the rules very well. If you are going off of the fact that the pan itself has a ranged price, take the average of the range instead of both values. In this case, 3750 + 3900, divided by 2, would be 3825.

3825 + the 3600 pure would be 7425. Salty recommended this on your previous suggestion.

Edit: you mentioned that "this was the price you both agreed on", but that doesn't really factor into an objective price suggestion. What matters most are in date sales of items used combined with pure.

I see you are of the camp that "rules are rules," and I understand, as my suggestion is that of flexible guidelines that change with time, while retaining the best measure of fairness and truth that they can. I simply think times have changed. The same rules for 15 years is assuming 15 years of market stability. That's just not the case. Too many prices have become too outdated, too quickly. But I can and will comply, if needs must.

I'll remake the suggest, at everyone's behest, if it's what's necessary. But I kindly ask that everyone keep what I've said in mind. There's a reason why so many prices are out of date. And it's not from a lack of sales. It's a lack of flexibility.

For instance, I could mini and/or price suggest a GPan I bought recently @6750 usd. But the keys were valued @1.65 usd, meaning 4090 keys. But I could value keys separately @1.72 usd, making it 3924 keys. This is the issue of having no flexibility, with rules and ranges. There has to be leeway, to keep things accurate, because precision isn't always the ideal measurement of pricing. It can be good, but you can miss out on many, many other sales being potentially properly priced, with such rigidity. Being able to ballpark in smaller ranges on single sales is an excellent way of keeping prices as fresh and as accurate as possible.

Thank you all for your time and patience on this matter. Hopefully it makes for worthwhile food for thought.
