As the 4 other suggestions for white paint covered, there is not a large enough supply yet for them to drop that low in price (see ToD tickets first day, every key variant ever, and the countless other store sales).

I bought a white paint for 3 ref in less than 4 minutes, I agree.

The market is completely flooded. Frantic sellers who bought a ton at the store are selling for 1 key-3 refined at the drop of a hat for fear of losing money.

@muhlig I just scoured all 15 pages and didn't find a single white paint for 3 refined or even close to 3 refined. I am very upset that you said that. You made me look through 15 pages of these on Outpost.

people selling lime and pink for 1 key + 1 rec = 3 ref why would they sell a paint thats $ 0.50 more for the same price?

just like the sale on nametags, the price on this paint will like rise again. probably not back to it's former glory of 2 keys 2 refined, but the same prices as ts seems a bit low. for now supply is high but that should change.

I know it's a "sale" but man Valve sure knows how to ruin the market. An unfortunate upvote from me.

@muhliq They're not losing money as long as they have patience to wait until sale is finished, they're actually making a lot of profit afterwards

It will be the same 2-4 weeks after the sale has finished... but i guess this website is supposed to reflect the current price of the item so i upvote for this.

Downvoted cant find it for 3 refined, lower i see is 2 keys.

if the sale is permanent (such happened to tags) then there will definitely be a price drop. but if the sale isn't, then the price will then revert slowly back to its former 2 keys+. these are consumables we're talking about, meaning they'll be used only once so i believe once the sale ends the price will rise.
