ugh, how many times must I explain this? Backpacktf always shows the current prices! Not future ones! Yes, this is going to go down after a week or so. However, this is the current price. There have even been some successful 3 refined sales for keys.

It's not the current price. keys are already going down again but very slowly. So a price raise is certainly not needed

I don't care what the links say on outpost. Nobody in trade servers is willing to pay more then 2.66 ref for keys.

HA. Most people in trade servers have no idea of prices. The people who actually do know the prices take advantage of that. Besides, most people on outpost aren't willing to pay more than 2.66 as well... And they are not successful in getting keys whatsoever.

imo ppl on (decent) trade servers have far more realistic prices (buying and selling) then ppl on outpost..BUT at the moment 2.77 is really the standard price for selling and 2.66 for buying, sellers beeing slightly more successfull then buyers,again this is only a temporary effect of the halloween event and the new unusual effects. i just reserved 10 keys for 10.100 credits each after i put in ref @4.400, so thats like 2.44 but lucky:)

I'll have to agree with you for the next two or so days. It's very hard to get them for 2.66. I say two days because the uncrating frenzy will be over by then.

Now just use your head for a second and THINK... Maybe you have never done it before, and when ya first start out it's difficult, BUT if someone knows they can get 2.66 refine for a key by just adding the person, why would the bother commenting?

they have no offer cuz you dont need to offer on a key seller or buy place. they say they are paying that and thats that. most to all buyer pages have no offer cuz they just add the buyer to sell to them duh.thats why there not going down so fast cuz you cant really proove it on the buyer side. (easly at least)

To everyone lookin for keys on OP.....just put up a trade for keys instead of running after people selling keys for higher prices. I have bought more than 50 keys in the past week for 2.66 + a wep. Also most of the key traders on OP are buying keys for 2.66-2.77 and reselling them for 3 ref. And unfortunately some people are buying keys at 3 ref jus cause spreadsheet says so. Lets not repeat the same mistake here.

I think this site should have a rule, you can't suggest a new price on the same item within 1 week time. OP made another key suggestion that failed a few days ago.

I've never seen anyone paying more that 2.66 on trade servers. Most servers have price checkers that are linked to backpack.tf or spreadsheet and still no one pays more than 2.66.

I'm still confused. I know why, but keys seemed to randomly skyrocket... I remember the good ol days, buyin em at 2.33. But I have to admit, people are buying for 2.77, so up voted.

UPVOTE sold many keys at 3 ref. Couldn't find 2.66 ref per key for days.

Key re-sellers always raising the price and calling it "herp derp Outpost supply and demand". Nek minute, keys will never go back down to 2.55-2.66. Yeah, sick one.

Yes, keys are more expensive now but they are artificially inflated now as a bulk of the keys are in the hands of high profile traders who are asking for a high price and the halloween uncraters having no choice but to buy from them.

Halloween is going to end today or tomorrow and the unboxing madness will die down quickly, along with the demand for keys. This suggestion is pointless.

So much butt-hurt over one item, it's amazing. Key prices shouldn't even be up for vote because the community craps it's pants every time someone even suggests the idea that keys would possibly raise by 1 scrap.

Gonna quote myself from the other suggestion: I myself have sold keys at 3 Ref, but I still think it's more of an exception than the rule. Unfortunately, as of now, so is buying at 2.66.

seriously this site shows the current price and it's impossible to buy at 2.66. If you can please link me I want to buy them all. Since it's impossible to sell at 2.66 IT's a good idea to change the price to 2.77 minimum. We can vote for to go down to 2.66 with some prove someday anyway. I have so many proves that we are able to sell keys at 3 ref with ease.

Log onto TF2, hit Favorites, add by IP, and type in 50.23.8.160:27016. Hang out, play friendly, and type "Buying keys @2.66" in chat.

Not only is the person who put this suggestion in a complete asshole to everyone who disagrees with him, but he CLEARLY also hasn't looked hard enough. I've seen MANY keys bought at 2.66.

This is already within the current range, you're just shaving a scrap off. Not really worth putting through.

There are a s**t ton less keys now. So the few people who actually have keys now are selling them for a higher price or not at all. In case you forgot, the only way a key can be created is by actually buying one. They cannot be found, or crafted. Only purchased.

Being a massive tool is partially the reason why people are not accepting the price. When i went to bed last night, your score was 14. Now it is only 4. People are not accepting your suggestion. Accept that fact and move on, or else you will have your reputation on this site sink like a stone in water..

Also, as an experiment, I hopped on a trade server and said I was selling keys for 2.66 each. I got back to back trades instantly. 2.66 isn't a viable price anymore. If someone was selling keys for 2.66 each, you would take it, and resell it for 2.88.

Supply and demand together do not have any effect here since there is an unlimited supply and since the demand ended today (with no more un-boxing for new unusuals) this price is not an accurate reflection of the market.

OMG you think the same as me, there is an unlimited supply of keys so long as people keep buying them which will probably always happen, i hate it when people cant come up with a legit reason to their argument and they turn to supply and demand

Since the event ended, the keys will be used less on unboxes and more as currency towards other items. Since there aren't a lot of unboxes now, the keys will steadily rise to half a million and the demand for keys right here right now will be ignored. Also, those that are stuck with the keys that bought them just got the short end of the stick, and the buyers will not budge from the lower price of 2.44-2.66

Here's an experiment... try selling a couple keys for 2.77, and see how many people will actually respond to the trade.

Keys are worth 2.55-2.88 Ref. People feel that Backpack.tf/Spreadsheet control the prices. Well i call BS.
